Students will be able to use styrofoam printing to create 3 Pop Culture plates and multiple prints about their identity
Students learned about the Pop Art era of the 1960s, focusing on Andy Warhol and his use of repeated imagery and bold color with a single object.
Students brainstormed and designed 3 printing plates based on items they consume or use in their daily lives. They then transferred their designs onto Styrofoam plates.
Students completed test prints first to explore the materials, understand the printing process, and reflect on the outcomes of their work.
Students created a final series of prints using their 3 Styrofoam plates, printing each plate 3 times, resulting in a total of 9 prints altogether.
