Sketch Progress
Students draw their own Minecraft Self-portrait identify characteristic to add to their artwork. In order to understand composition in adding themselves into their art
Lesson 1- sketch their portrait, testing out composition for their foreground and background. Practice symbols of their identity to apply in their sketch.
Lesson 2 - move to sketch to final artwork making their portrait, making sure they have at least 4 symbols that represent them and look like them.
Lesson 3 – focusing on the background, making it meaningful connection to the artist, learning about intension in art compositions
Lesson 4- finalize their portrait in order to do an art critique where they share their decision, composition and how it represents them
